Wet grains are conductive for electricity, while dry grains are less conductive. Electrical conductivity also varies with the temperature; these properties of the grains have been put into practical use in this moisture meter. A temperature sensor along with Micro processor circuitry automatically compensates for these variations and display. Moisture percentage. For uniformity, accuracy and reliability of the results, the material under test is compressed in order to nullify the porosity effect in between the grains.

Operation procedure:
• Turn on the Fun key, the symbol “0.0" will be showed on display. It will need zeroing if showed other value, please depress Zero key while the probe sensor without touch anything, or zeroing is not efficient. make zeroing can decrease the effect from the temperature and humidity in the air.
• Hold the instrument with your hand, insert the probes into the materials straightly, the probes are more deeper, the value is better. • Depress Hold key, the symbol “max” will be showed on display, then the max value must be stored on display when measuring. Depress the Key HOLD again, this function will be cancelled. 

Warning Setting:
• Depressing FUN key and don’t release until “AL2" showed on display (it will takes 5 seconds to complete operation ),them press key ZERO or HOLD to choose your suitable value according to your needs, Press FUN key again back to the operation state.
• Setting the “AL1" just the same ways as “Al2".
• Ususally , “AL2" must larger than “Al1", if the “AL 2" less than “AL1" during setting process, then the instrument will be returned back the factory setting, just to say, AL 1=13,AL 2=18
