This Digital Portable Surface Roughness Tester SRT-6200 measures 2 Parameters (Ra, Rz) by using built-in Diamond Pin Probe. It has 4 wave filtering methods (RC, PC-RC, GAUSS & D-P). Moreover, the measured data can be downloaded to PC through optional CD software with USB cable. It is compatible with four standards of ISO, DIN, ANSI and JIS and is widely used in production site to measure surface roughness of various machinery-processed parts, calculate corresponding parameters according to selected measuring conditions and clearly display all measurement parameters. When measuring the roughness of a surface, the sensor is placed on the surface and then uniformly slides along the surface by driving the mechanism inside the tester. The sensor gets the surface roughness by the sharp built-in probe. This roughness causes displacement of the probe which results in change of inductive amount of induction coils so as to generate analogue signal, which is in proportion to the surface roughness at output end of phase-sensitive rectifier. The exclusive DSP processes and calculates and then outputs the measurement results on LCD.

Portable RAPID MOISTURE METER is most popular in determining the moisture contents of soil, sand , various types of pastes, powders and mixes etc in-situ, within a very short time. The instrument operates on the principle of a reagent being introduced to the free moisture in the sample to be tested. This forms a gas , the amount being dependent upon the amount of free moisture in contact with the reagent. It is a kind of Ball Resilience Tester. The resilience of polyurethane foam is determined by dropping a metallic sphere on a slab of foam kept on a horizontal surface from a height of 500 mm and finding the height to which it rebounds after striking the surface of the foam. The Ball Resilience Tester for polyurethane foam consists of a flat horizontal platform, a vertical acrylic tube in which the sphere is dropped, and a hand operated arrangement to release the sphere from a pre-determined height. It has four levelling screws to make it horizontal. The acrylic tube is held over the base with the help of a holding block, which can be moved vertically to adjust the height of the tube to enable test specimens of different thicknesses which are to be tested. This adjustment is carried out with the help of a screw and due to this, the height of the tube can be set. The tube is held firmly after adjustment so that it does not rock during the test. The metallic sphere is kept in a circular opening in the metallic cover of the acrylic tube. It can be released by pressing a spring-loaded support, which is so designed as to release the sphere without imparting any initial linear or rotary movement to it. The equipment is finished in blue metallic painting.

Main components of the tester

Screw Pump: It is used to generate pressure in the circuit of adequate capacity and is operated by a spoked handle which permits easy and accurate setting of pressure.

· Free Piston Assembly: It is made of special steel, hardened, tempered, ground and lapped to accurate

size and very fine surface finish provides true ???oating action.

· Set of Weights: Each weight is directly marked in convenient values of pressure and is easily stacked

on the weight carrier which is placed on to the free piston. The calibration can be provided in various

Apparatus consists of a close circuit through which water is circulated continuously by Mains of centrifugal pump of 25 mm x 25 mm with 0.5 H.P. motor to make the supply from sump tank.Sump tank 125 cm long, 80 cm wide 40 cm high fabricated on M.S. angle frame with 3 mm thick M.S. sheet is provided. The tank is supported on a stand fabricated from M.S. angle.For the supply head of 2.5 m, the discharge head of the ram will be 15 m (approx.) the discharge will be 360LPH. A pressure gauge is provided with a regulating valve on the delivery side of the ram (delivery pipe isof 15 mm Dia) so that much greater head of water can be observed and obtained by the adjustment of the shifting valve provided in the ram assembly. Lifted water can be collected by the help of a collecting tank of30 cm x 30 cm and 30 cm high. The tank is provided with gauge glass tube, flow diverting arrangement and a drain valve of 25 mm size.Waste water can be measured by the help of another collecting tank. V-TECH tearing strength Tester Determines the Tearing Strength of fabrics, papers, plastic films or other similar materials is determined by measurement of the work done in tearing through a fixed length of the test specimen using of Elmendorf Tear Tester. The Elmendorf Tearing Strength Tester consist a brass sector pendulum pivoted on anti-friction ball bearings on a vertical bracket xed on a rigid metallic base. The test specimen in shape of a rectangular piece held between two clamps, one of which is mounted on the pendulum and the other is mounted on the vertical bracket. The clamps are mounted in such a manner that their holding faces arealigned with each other when the pendulum is locked in its raised position. The pendulum is released by lifting a release lever. This action causes the test specimen to tear right through. The tearing strength is indicated on a scale fitted on the pendulum against a low friction pointer pivoted on the axis of the pendulum. An adjustable knife is also mounted on the bracket on which the pendulum and the fixed clamp is mounted. It is centered between the two clamps and is used for making the initial Cut in the test specimen. The apparatus is finished in metallic painting and bright chrome plating to give it corrosion resistant finish. Augmenting weights for increasing the range of the tester for testing high strength materials are available as optional accessories. Low strength materials can be tested by mounting multiple specimens at the same time.

Peel or adhesion testing is the measurement of the adhesive or bond strength between two materials.
